One reference page for the providers, update schedules and checks behind our dynamic snooker data.

How to read our timestamps

A “checked” time records when our updater successfully produced the published snapshot. It does not guarantee that a publisher changed its own page at that moment. Scores may trail play, provisional rankings can move during an event and future schedules remain subject to change.

Scores, draws and results

Update schedule
Every 15 minutes during active events

The active event is selected from the season calendar. A complete event snapshot is validated before publication; the previous valid snapshot remains online if a check fails. Pages read the saved snapshot every minute, but this does not make the underlying source a one-minute feed.

World rankings and player records

Update schedule
Every four hours

Official and provisional lists must each contain 100 unique, consecutively ranked players before they are stored. Every newly observed player is added to the player archive; a player remains in the archive after leaving the current Top 100.

Tournament calendar

Update schedule
Dated editorial snapshots, reviewed when schedules change

Qualifying and main events are kept separate. Dates and venues may change, and downloaded calendar files are one-time imports rather than live subscriptions. Readers should recheck an organiser before travel or purchase.

News links

Update schedule
Every two hours

We store the headline, publisher, publication date and original link. Linked reports open on the publisher’s website. Automated collection does not copy article text or turn a third-party report into our original reporting.

Match and frame statistics

Update schedule
Periodic checked snapshots

Statistics are labelled with their check date. Draws, walkovers and later source corrections can affect totals, so the figures are presented as a dated snapshot rather than an immutable record.

Validation, conflicts and corrections

Automated jobs reject incomplete ranking lists and preserve the last valid publication when a source cannot be checked. Event score snapshots replace superseded match records as one transaction. When two sources conflict, we prefer a current event-specific organiser listing and record any material correction.

Source links identify provenance; they do not imply endorsement or affiliation. Original guides, analysis and data-generated briefings are labelled separately from external news links. Quiz answers and editorial articles keep their own citations because those links support a specific claim.

To report a discrepancy, email contact@snookercalendar.com with the affected page and a current supporting link. See also our editorial policy.
